Landry Abanda - Director Western Africa
Landry is leading recov.earth activities in Western African Countries. He builds relationships with local decision makers, leads sourcing activities, and accompanies projects from securing land rights up to implementation of interventions.
Born in Cameroon and a Swiss national, Landry combines the understanding of both the European and African cultures. He finished his degree in banking economics and most recently led customer services at one of the largest Swiss commercial banks. To further strengthen his impact, he is currently finishing his executive MBA at leading IESE Business School.
Landry balances his work-life with sports, spending time with family and friends, and traveling.
Philipp Stoll - Founder and CEO
Philipp sources and develops projects for the voluntary carbon market and maintains a global network of partners and investors for project execution. He is driven by the combination of large-scale climate action in combination with significantly improving livelihood of the population around the project areas.
A Swiss and German national, Philipp completed his master‘s degree in accounting and finance at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. He gained experience in management consulting, as an entrepreneur, and most recently in private equity, where he spent over 8 years and held two board mandates in mid-sized companies (annual revenue EUR 60 and 200m).
In his leisure time, Philipp enjoys travelling, cooking, sports, and spending time with friends and family.
Tomas Mejia Marulanda - Director Latin America
Tomas is coordinating recov.earth activities in Latin American Countries, focusing on the Andean region. He builds relationships with local decision makers, leads sourcing activities, and accompanies projects from securing land rights up to implementation of interventions.
A Spanish and Colombian national, he holds degrees in economics and business administration at the leading Colombian university, Universidad de Los Andes. He gained professional experience in strategic consulting in Central America and through business optimization in various roles. Most recently he established a number of companies in the areas financial advisory, sustainable tourism, and manufacturing Latin American traditional products for consumers.
Next to his various professional roles, Tomas enjoys spending time in the beautiful nature Colombia has to offer, doing sports, and holding barbecues for his family.
Christoffer Karlsson – Country Analyst
Chris was born and raised in Liberia and is a Liberian and Swedish national. With this background, he is the perfect representative for recov.earth in Liberia on the ground.
Chris holds a degree in information technology and has extensive project experience both in the private and public sector. His enthusiasm in technology led him into various roles, in which he trained rural communities to navigate through support schemes and oversaw the installation of networks for communication and data in these areas.
Besides his passion to support the development of his country, Chris is very active in team sports. He plays basketball and football regularly. In his spare time, he enjoys being with his family.
